18.00-19.30: Welcome Reception at the Congress Venue

Please come join your colleagues for a relaxing get-together including wine & snacks and entertainment. The get-together will be held in the exhibition area. Attendance is free of charge, but enrolment is required.
Friday 9 September
19.00-24.00: Congress Dinner at the Restaurant Langelinie Pavillon

A memorable highlight of the congress will be the Congress Dinner that provides an ideal opportunity to mingle and meet other colleagues. The restaurant is located with panoramic views of the entire Copenhagen waterfront adjacent to the Little Mermaid, The Citadel, and The Gefion Fountain – and not far from Amalienborg (Royal Palace), and Nyhavn. The restaurant is fitted and furnished with the very finest in Danish modern design. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
The boat ride starts at 19.00, departure from the pier at Kalvebod Brygge 45, across the street from the congress venue.
Dinner starts at 20.00.
Price: € 100 which includes a boat ride to the restaurant, welcome drink, three-courses dinner with wine and coffee.
A cash bar (DKK and €) will be open the rest of the evening.

Sweden Tour

We follow the coastline from Copenhagen to Elsinore, passing through fashionable resorts and beautiful residential areas. Crossing the narrow strait between Elsinore and Helsingborg, you will get a great opportunity for a fantastic view of Hamlet's Castle - Kronborg - from the sea. The trip across the Sound takes approx. 20 minutes. Once we arrive in Sweden, we drive through the city of Helsingborg, before continuing to Lund. Lund is a university city from the middle ages, founded in 990 by the Danish King Sweyn Forkbeard. The city was the religious, cultural and commercial centre of Scandinavia until the Reformation. We visit the Cathedral which has a magnificent 14th century astronomical clock and we end up at the famous University of Lund.Lunch en route - not included in the tour price. After lunch we continue to Malmø. Malmø is the biggest city in Scania and the third largest in Sweden. Here we take a short sightseeing stop. On our way back to Denmark we have to cross the Sound once again, but this time we do so on the magnificent bridge from Malmø to Copenhagen.

Hamlet Tour and Country Side
Dates: Tuesday 6th, Thursday 8th & Saturday 10th of September 2011

We leave Copenhagen and travel up the Riviera road to Hillerød. As we travel along we have a beautiful view upon the Øresund Strait with the Swedish coast beyond. In Hillerød you will experience the inside of the magnificent Frederiksborg Castle, where our visit includes the National History Museum´s royal art collection, the Chapel of Orders and the Knight´s Hall. From here the tour continues past the royal family´s summer residence Fredensborg Castle. After this we drive to Elsinore where we will make a photo stop for you to experience the outer walls and towers of impressive Kronborg Castle setting of Shakespeare´s play Hamlet. The castle was build between 1574 and 1585 to protect Danish interests and to collect tolls from ships passing through the narrow strait. The tour is a great way of seeing the castles and countryside outside of Copenhagen.

The Grand Tour of Copenhagen

The Grand Tour of Copenhagen is an extensive tour covering all the major sights of the Danish Capital. On the tour we pass by the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. We drive through the colourful canal district, past the National Museum, and past Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament. We continue on to The Old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv, where we can see the Royal Theatre, world famous for its Royal Ballet. The tour continues past the colourful harbour district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace - winter residence of the Royal Family. Here we have the opportunity of seeing the changing of the Danish Royal Guard. This is followed by a visit to the Gefion Fountain and The Little Mermaid, inspired by H. C. Andersen's fairytale. During the tour we pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen as well as we pass by Rosenborg Castle, where the Crown Jewels are protected by the Royal Guard. The Grand Tour is really a good introduction to the city of Copenhagen.
